How does the camera cube solver work?
Hold your scrambled cube up to your webcam or phone camera and scan all six faces. The solver reads the colours, works out the shortest solution, and plays it back move-by-move on a 3D cube so you can follow along. You can also type the colours in by hand.
Does the solver give the optimal solution?
It uses a two-phase (Kociemba-style) solving engine to produce a short, reliable solution — typically around 20 moves — for any valid scramble of a standard 3×3 cube.
